My friend and occasional DU Bookstore colleague Dee stopped by the store today and is very enthusiastic about the 24th Annual Poetry Rodeo - PODEO - taking place this Friday night, April 26th, at the Mercury Cafe in downtown Denver (http://mercurycafe.com). The event goes from 6:00 P.M. until 1:30 A.M., so evidently poets like to party very late. I asked Dee if there would be Limericks involved, and was told there would be if I decided to get up on stage and recite them. "There was a young barmaid from Wales..." Well, perhaps not THIS Friday.
