Aurelio's - The Pizza Of The Pope!

Yesterday two fans delivered a frozen Aurelio's pizza from Homewood, Illinois, a Southern Suburb of Chicago, to a very grateful Pope Leo XIV at a youth event in Rome, as seen in the photograph above. And no - I did not take that photo but simply downloaded it from the internet. I know Pope Leo grew up in South Suburban Dolton but did not realize he spent a lot of time in Homewood, which was near where his father and brother lived, and was a big fan of the Aurelio's Pizza of Homewood, a pizza joint with which I am very familiar. My family moved to South Suburban Country Club Hills (a place which has no country club, hills, or for that matter, trees) when I started high school, and the best pizza was Aurelio's in Homewood, which became our go-to place for a pie. Eventually Aurelio's expanded all over the Chicago area, but back then, Homewood was its only location. And so now we find out that not only is Pope Leo from the South Side of Chicago and a White Sox fan, but he is also a fan of Aurelio's. In a way it seems kind of surreal. Back when he lived on the South Side, he was known as Father Bob, and very well liked. Now, of course, he is Pope, but the White Sox are 40-69 and currently still the second worst team in baseball, behind the Colorado Rockies. What's the deal with that, Holy Father? Can't you put in a word?
