Sunset Over The St. Lucie River - Counting The Days

As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, my sister Susan and I had to leave Stuart, Florida earlier than expected when I had to fly back to Denver to repair a detached retina. Now that the operation is over, I have to wait for at least 2 months to fly again, due to some sort of gas (laughing gas, classical gas?) that was injected into my left eye. I very much miss heading to the Sailor's Return Restaurant's patio (the Jolly Sailor Pub to me) along the St. Lucie River, just a mile from our condo. There is nothing like having a beer and watching the sunset over the river, as seen in the photograph above, but between going blind and waiting a few months to head back to Stuart and having that beer, I am perfectly okay putting that trip off. Besides, this time of year, it can get pretty nippy there, too. Even I draw the line at having a beer with a cold breeze coming off the water. That is just for tourists.
