It has been several weeks since I last talked to my friend Stuart, so we went out for beers and dinner tonight at the Old Chicago on Colorado Boulevard in Denver. I remember that years ago we went to the opening of Fenway Park - a long forgotten restaurant - in that same location. Over the years, a number of different restaurants have opened - and closed - in that same spot, until Old Chicago opened there and wound up staying. The most amazing thing of all is that over the past 20 years or so, since we had dinner on that long ago evening at Fenway Park, neither of us have changed a bit. It is so spooky - could Denver be the true Shangrila?
