Cheyanne - daughter of my friend Valarie and a "teacher of teachers" with the Peace Corps in Mozambique, has just added a new post on her Blog about keeping a pet in Africa. Basically, the locals think that keeping a pet is a crazy thing to do - animals are there to perform chores or to provide food, not for the owner's amusement. They especially thought Cheyanne was a bit eccentric (i.e. crazy) for letting her cat sleep on top of her head each night.
