Tony, the Quick Copy Center Manager, reminisced this afternoon about his time with the Police Auxiliary Association in Aurora. The group's purpose was to improve community relations with the police, and involved guest speakers from the police department, ride alongs with the police, and other similar initiatives. Tony tells me that he even worked with the police in preparing them for the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Tony would pretend he was a protester, and the police would practice their choke holds on him, use their night sticks on his head, taser him, etc. Thanks for sharing, Tony. This explains soooo much.
