This was the first time in years I did not go to the Rockies annual 4th of July fireworks game. Instead, I stood across the street and took photographs on a tripod. I was not alone - there were families, couples, street people, and behind me at a rooftop bar, a very loud group of what we used to call yuppies. Remarkably the fireworks looked exactly the same outside as inside - the main difference being you didn't have to pay $50 to watch the Rockies lose.
