I volunteered to help out at the "Beautiful Junk" sale yesterday at the Jefferson County Fair Grounds in Golden, Colorado. The event was sponsored by The Action Center, the non-profit organization my friend Valarie - the former Operations Manager of the DU Bookstore - works for. Afterwards, we had dinner at Hops, one of my favorite restaurants. As the photograph above shows, Valarie is still very enthusiastic about having her photograph taken for this Blog. At least this time she didn't try to take a swing at me. My incredible charm must finally be having an effect.
