Gina Says Goodbye

Gina - the retired former Manager of the DU Bookstore's Quick Copy Center - is heading back home to Phoenix tomorrow now that the average daily temperatures there have cooled off to a mere 100 degrees.  Gina tells me she would have stayed for "DebateFest, " to be held on the University of Denver campus this Wednesday in conjunction with the Presidential Debate, but has to attend a homeowner's meeting back home tomorrow. Gina, like me, was looking forward to seeing 5,000 DebateFest attendees drinking beer, watching the Presidential Debate on an outdoor screen, and debating politics among themselves. Unfortunately, the university has decided that the event will now be alcohol free.  Talk about 5,000 lost photo opportunities.  It makes a person cry.
