Marty - the former Coursebook Manager of the DU Bookstore - and his band are playing a benefit concert for Runyon Elementary School tomorrow night (Thursday, April 25th) at the Platte River Bar and Grille (www.theplatte.com), located in exotic Littleton, Colorado. The photo above shows Marty playing guitar at the last benefit concert for Runyon, held at Toad Hall a few years ago. Back then the band was known as Rampage. The name was later changed to Mad Cowabunga, then to Supergeezer, then back to Mad Cowabunga, and now appears to be "The Fifty-Two 80s." But a little indecision about the band's name will not stop them from putting on a great benefit concert, hosted by none other than CBS4 weather guru Dave Aguilera. It will be the social event of the year. The "Cat's Meow," as we hipsters say. Be there!
